to Augsburg College! All of us hope you will make great
contributions during your stay here and take advantage of
the many opportunities there are to get involved through
the over thrity active student organizations.
Our mission: To act as the primary student voice and liaison
between the students and the administration, faculty and
staff of Augsburg College. In addition, we sponsor and direct
student concerns and responsibilities.
A note from President Grand on the Surplus By now many of you have heard
that we have a large surplus. I can say that we brought in
$234,161 through the student activity fee, and had a rollever
of $31,000 prior to accumulated expenses and $21,000 after
expenses. This last year the Student Government budgeted for
approximatly $240.000. The difference is $105,161 now known
as a surplus. For saftey of not overspending a buffer of around
$20,000 is put in place. The remainder is the available surplus
of $85,161. As of what these monies will go towards, the general
assembly will have to decide.
