ABOUT AUGSBURG - Rankings and Distinctions
President’s Community Service Honor Roll
Augsburg was named to the President’s Higher Education Community
Service Honor Roll with Distinction for the second year in a row.
It is one of 127 colleges nationally named to the award “with
distinction,” for its innovative, effective, and exemplary
community service programs and service-learning.
The Princeton Review “Best in the Midwest”
Augsburg College once again is named as one of 159 “Best in
the Midwest” colleges on The Princeton Review’s web site
feature “2009 Best Colleges: Region by Region.” The annual
ranking considers institutional data collected by The Princeton Review,
their visits to schools, the opinions of high-school counselors,
as well as the opinions of Augsburg students.
Auggie undergrads told The Princeton Review that their professors “deserve a great deal of credit for creating an inviting, positive, thinking environment,” and for making the student experience feel “very personal.” Students also reported, “one of the greatest strengths of Augsburg is that it offers internships and study abroad classes to every student.”
UCAN—Private College Website
Augsburg is one of 13 Minnesota private colleges to join the University
and College Accountability Network, or UCAN, a new national Web
site designed to help prospective students evaluate and choose
colleges.
Concise, easily accessible and free, UCAN consists of hundreds of institutional profiles that cover admissions, enrollment, student demographics, graduation rates, most-common fields of study, transfer of credit policy, accreditation, faculty information, class size, tuition and fees trends, price of attendance, average debt load at graduation, financial aid, campus housing, student life and campus safety.
