Augsburg professors teach because it’s their passion. Students
get to know their professors w
ell, often on a first-name basis, and
work closely with them on class assignments, research projects, or
senior theses.
Whether you study in the weekday or weekend program, you’ll learn from the same Augsburg faculty. Over 80% of the faculty have earned the highest degree in their fields, and many of them have both academic and professional experience, giving you the best of both.
Some of our students’ most memorable learning experiences take place on faculty-led seminars—for example, studying drawing in southern France, discovering ancient civilizations in Greece and Turkey, or exploring environmental issues in Portland and Vancouver. Closer to home, your environmental studies class might be held in a canoe paddling down the Mississippi.
All classes at Augsburg are taught by professors, not teaching assistants. Since the average undergraduate class size is 13-17, you’ll enjoy lots of interaction and personal attention.
