Crazy Book: A Not-So-Stuffy Dictionary of Biblical Terms from Augsburg Books is scheduled for publication in the spring of 2009. “Crazy Book for Confirmation Small Groups” is a pre-publication event designed for small groups of Confirmation-aged youth and their adult leaders. This fast-paced event will feature interactive, participatory learning. This event is intended to bring the ELCA's “Book of Faith” initiative to Confirmation-aged young people. As we hope that we will be able to offer more gatherings of this sort, consider this event the first of many.
“Crazy Book for Confirmation Small Groups” is open to 7th-, 8th-, and/or 9th-grade small groups from the ELCA Minneapolis Area Synod, St. Paul Area Synod, Northeastern Minnesota Synod, Southwestern Minnesota Synod, or the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin. Each small group (up to six students) must be accompanied by at least one adult leader. A congregation may send as many small groups as space allows.

- 9:15-10 a.m. Session I, “Bible Folk: Their Story, Your Story”
- 10-10:15 a.m. Break
- 10:15-11 a.m. Session II, “Apparently, God Can Use Just About Anybody”
- 11:15-11:30 a.m. Break
- 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Session III, “You Can Relate”
- 12:15-1 p.m. Lunch
