Hometown: graduated from Mayo HS in Rochester, lived in Red Wing, MN prior to that.

College: Concordia College, Moorhead, mass communications and English writing

Coolest high school clothing or accessory: I had some fabulous jeans that I would tight roll the bottom of (yes, I also had permed hair with tall bangs). My favorite pieces of apparel were probably my Benetton sweatshirts.

High school or college nickname: Benson (my maiden name)

Facebook or Myspace? I prefer snail mail. I love getting real letters in the mail!

Weekend activities: Hang out with my hubby and little girl who was born on May 6, 2008. Sometimes we go really crazy and have dinner with friends or catch a movie. Oh, life with a baby!

One thing people don't know about me: I am addicted to Door County, Wisconsin! My family started camping there when I was in elementary school, and I have been back almost every year since.

Favorite thing about Augsburg: Besides the Admissions Office? The people and their dedication to serve the Augsburg neighborhood and city of Minneapolis.

Advice to new Auggies: Try something new! My first year at Augsburg was filled with new experiences like trying Ethiopian food, checking out cool music venues, and volunteering with Campus Kitchens.
