You have a lot of questions: Where will I live? What will I do on the weekends? How will I make connections with other Auggies? And what is the weather like?
First of all, it can be very cold here in the winter, but we love it! Most of our campus buildings are connected by tunnels or skyways, so you don't have to go outside to get from your room to class. Be sure to pack warm socks, mittens, a scarf, and a wool hat. Or you can purchase an Augsburg hat in our bookstore after you arrive.
When you come to Augsburg, you’ll be right in the middle of everything. Our campus is set in a vibrant neighborhood just minutes from downtown Minneapolis. There you can find internships, museums, theaters, shopping, and sporting events. Or you can take the light rail train south from campus to the world-famous Mall of America, beautiful Minnehaha Falls, or the Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport.
When you're ready to venture off campus, you'll find
we are just minutes from lots of great places -- downtown, Uptown, and Dinkytown (at the U of M) to name a few! We’re also near several lakes and parks and a short train ride from the international airport and the Mall of America. If you’re into the arts, the world-renowned Guthrie Theater is blocks from campus and the Walker Art Center is just on the other side of downtown. There are many other museums, great clubs, and several professional sports venues close by as well.
