ACADEMICS - Reading Endorsement Program

Augsburg College also offers a K-12 Reading Endorsement program. This endorsement has been established to provide teachers with existing teaching licenses an opportunity to expand their knowledge and practices in the area of reading instruction.

Candidates for this license will complete 4.5 credits of coursework that have been designed to meet the requirements established for this license by the Minnesota Board of Teaching. Students may use these courses as part of a Master of Arts in Education degree.

These courses include:
EED 320/520 K-6 Methods: Reading (1.0)
ESE 300/500 Reading/Writing in the Content Areas (1.0)
EDC 505 K-12 Literature in the Classroom (.5)
EDC 508 K-12 Reading Assessment and Evaluation (1.0)
EDC 510 Clinical and Reading Program Leadership (1.0)
