CERTIFICATES AND CONCENTRATIONS

MBA studentThe Augsburg MBA program is now offering five graduate certificates/concentrations to enhance your skills and to help you advance in your career. You may earn your certificate/concentration with courses meeting one evening per week for 7-to-8 weeks. The number of credits determines the length of each certificate/concentration. Students complete 2 credits per trimester, or 6 credits in a year.

An MBA concentration is completed when a student completes the Augsburg MBA program and chooses the option of completing one set of focused courses listed on this page. A graduate certificate is awarded if a student completes one set of the courses listed on this page without having earned his/her MBA from Augsburg College.

The Augsburg MBA offers graduate certificates/MBA concentrations that provide applied, practical, graduate-level training at an accelerated pace in the following areas:

CERTIFICATE DESCRIPTIONS

Finance Certificate (6 credits)
The finance certificate program is beneficial for individuals interested in further advancing their knowledge and skills in various areas of the modern financial market.

Marketing Management (5.5 credits)
The certificate in marketing management provides executive development for individuals already employed in marketing or other business fields who are interested in becoming a more effective sales force manager or marketing decision-maker.

Human Resource Management (4.5 credits)
The certificate in human resource management prepares human resource professionals for a variety of human resource positions. Successful completion of the certificate program as well as passing the examination and meeting job experience requirements meet the criteria for certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
