So you want to be an Auggie? We’re glad you’re on your way! Whether you’re coming from a two-year community college, a four-year university or college, or another school, we want your transfer experience to be stress-free.
Augsburg is a transfer-friendly school. That means we work with many metro-area colleges and schools in greater Minnesota to ease your transition from one school to another. We start by offering a free one-on-one unofficial transcript evaluation to show you what courses and credits will transfer to Augsburg. Just schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor, and tell them you want to transfer to Augsburg.
If an Augsburg degree is in your future, our articulation agreements will help you identify the courses you should take now to meet specific major requirements at Augsburg. Our transfer guides will also help you find liberal arts courses, like Algebra or English, that will be accepted at Augsburg.
We also accept credit by exam, or CLEP (College Level Examination Program) credit. This allows you to earn credit for previous work or for experience that may not be reflected on your transcript.
Advanced Transfer Students
Students who enter Augsburg with 13 or more course credits accepted in transfer are considered Advanced Transfer Students. The Augsburg Core Curriculum will be adjusted for advanced transfer students as outlined in the course catalog.
MnSCU Transfer Students
Students transferring from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system who have completed the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, have earned the Associate of Arts degree from MnSCU, and have a 2.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) from the degree-granting institution will be given transfer status as outlined in the course catalog.
