Augsburg alumnus Will Stute ’94 named to 40 Under Forty
Will Stute, a partner in the Faegre & Benson LLP litigation practice, has been named a recipient of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal 40 Under Forty Award. Stute is a graduate of Augsburg College and William Mitchell College of Law.
The award spotlights 40 of the region’s top young business and civic leaders. To be selected, a candidate must demonstrate consistent outstanding professional achievement and show a commitment to community service.
Stute has a national practice representing parties in complex business litigation, principally in the areas of financial institution litigation and securities litigation/arbitration. He represents parties in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and regulatory proceedings across the country.
Not a business-as-usual lawyer, Stute thinks broadly and innovatively. He also recognizes the value of collaboration when it comes to making decisions.
Stute’s professional memberships, community service, and past position on the firm’s legal personnel committee reflect his strong commitment to increasing the diversity of the legal profession.
Stute submits several articles on substantive legal issues and developments for publication each year. A frequent presenter at legal education seminars, he covers topics such as mediating and arbitrating securities disputes and overcoming diversity challenges in the workplace.
Stute is a former adjunct professor of law at William Mitchell College of Law, where he taught a course on professional responsibility for five years.
