Bill Nye “The Science Guy” will share his love for science when he speaks at Si Melby Hall on February 14 during Augsburg College’s Scholarship Weekend. In the talk “How Science Can Save the World,” Nye will share his love for science, and speak with depth and humor about planetary science, climate change, evolution, environmental awareness, and more.

This Scholarship Weekend event, which is sponsored by Admissions and in partnership with Institutional Advancement, is designed to raise awareness of the College among prospective students, their families, and high school counselors. Alumni, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring high school-aged children and grandchildren to campus.

The event builds upon the success the College experienced during the 2014 Scholarship Weekend when nearly 100 prospective Auggies were challenged by deep questions of compassion and humanity posed in a talk by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Presale tickets are available to Augsburg College students, faculty, and staff beginning at 10 a.m., Monday, November 24 and running through 11:59 p.m., Sunday, December 7. An Augnet login is required to access the presale.

The cost is $12 for Augsburg College students and $28 for Augsburg College faculty and staff. A $3 service charge will be applied to each ticket at checkout. All tickets are general seating.

Full information about ticket pricing, purchase, and more is available in the ticketing area of the Augsburg College website at www.augsburg.edu/tickets.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at Si Melby Hall on February 14!
