Celebrating 75 Years
of Auggie Pride!
Augsburg College is celebrating its 75th
years of varsity athletic competition throughout the
1999-2000 school year. We will have plenty of events
for alumni and Auggie fans to attend and share their Auggie
Pride!
Each of the 13 varsity sports will have a special event
commemorating the sport's history and thanking their
alumni for their lasting contributions to the success
of Augsburg athletics. For

be posting several interesting features throughout the
year detailing the history of Auggie athletics!
 The keynote event of the 75th anniversary celebration
will be a special Hall
of Fame induction ceremony featuring guest speaker Lute
Olson (Augsburg '56, pictured at left), the two-time
National Coach of the Year and current
men's basketball coach at the University of Arizona. The
event, "Augsburg's 75th Anniversary of Athletics/Hall
of Fame Celebration," will be held Thursday,
Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. (dinner) at the Christensen Center on
the Augsburg campus. For
