1999: Seventh of the team in scoring with 8 goals and 6 assists. Second on team in shots. Lettered with 26 games played.

1998: Led all freshman with 8 goals, 9 assists, and 17 points. Fifth on the team in scoring. Lettered with 22 games played. Was named team "Rookie of the Year."

HS: Joe played three sports for Anoka: hockey, soccer, and golf. In hockey, he was named All-Conference his senior year and All-Conference Honorable Mention his junior year. He was a three time letterwinner and was a member of two state tournament teams with a second place finish his senior year and a consolation championship his junior year. He lettered twice in golf and twice in soccer. He played goalie on the team that went to the state tournament his junior year. He was a member of the National Honors Society and Graduated with High Honors.

Personal: Nickname is Joey...Favorite Class is any Business course...First Job was as a carpenter's apprentice...Favorite sports memory is taking second place in the 1998 boy's hockey state tournament...He likes to eat Mac and Cheese and enjoys watching South Park and Billy Madison...Likes to listen to Pearl Jam...He likes Augsburg because of the the city atmosphere within a smal campus...Most admires the Detroit Red Wings' Brendan Shanahan...Goal in Augsburg hockey is to win the MIAC Championship and go to nationals.
