HS: Pat was a tri-sport athlete in high school, playing football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and in the spring he played baseball his first two years while track his last two at high school. A multi-positional player in football, he was a four year letter winner and an All-Conference selection. He earned the Outstanding Effort award on his way to was All-Conference Honorable Mention in basketball. In track, he was All-Conference twice.
