Son of John and Barb Tieben from Jordan, Minn.
Major: Biology
Career Goal: To practice medicine.

Augsburg College Auggies Football -- #7 -- Quarter Back

HS: John played four years of football, baseball, and basketball for Jordan. He served as a captain in all three sports and was an All-Conference selection in Football and Baseball. As a Quarterback, he was his team's offensive player of the year and as either a shortstop or third baseman he was a defensive player of the year. John was Vice President in the National Honor Society and an Academic All-Conference award winner. He graduated with high honors and participated as Co-President of the Students Against Drunk Driving and a member of the Senior Executive Board.

Personal: Favorite class is biology...First job was at Sponsels Apple Orchard...Likes Augsburg because of the campus is close to home and the cities...Athletic goal at Augsburg is to win the MIAC...Favorite athletic memory was winning his homecoming game against Sibley in double overtime...Likes to watch Win Ben Stein's Money and the Shawshank Redemption...Listens to Dave Matthews Band...Favorite athlete is John Elway.
