Augsburg College Athletics Staff -- Chuck Anderson
Chuck Anderson (Minnesota State Moorhead '72) enters his first season as an Augsburg women's basketball assistant coach. Anderson has an extensive history of coaching basketball. He has served as head coach at Hill-Murray and St. Paul (Minn.) Johnson high schools, and has been an assistant at Mounds View (Minn.) HS under legendary high school coach Ziggy Kauls. Most recently, he served as an assistant boys' basketball coach for 11 seasons at Benilde-St. Margaret HS. The Knights finished second at the Minnesota state tournament last season, while earning section final appearances five times. In eight of Anderson's 11 seasons on head coach John Moore's staff, the Knights won 20 or more games, while winning conference titles seven times. He also served as an assistant coach at Macalester College, Golden Valley Junior College and Anoka-Hennepin Community College. Anderson taught history and physical education for 34 years at Forest Lake (Minn.) HS, where he also coached basketball and track and field. He has also coached youth basketball on the AAU level, and has worked as numerous basketball camps across the nation. A native of Moorhead, Minn., Anderson earned his bachelor's degree from Minnesota State Moorhead and his master's degree from the University of St. Thomas. He and his wife, DeeDee, have two children, Christopher (26) and Lindsey (22), who were both scholarship athletes at Minnesota State Moorhead. Women's Basketball Head Coach -- Jennifer
