Aaron Benesh (Augsburg '06), a former Augsburg student-athlete, is in his first season on the Augsburg staff in 2006-07.

Benesh played two seasons of basketball at Augsburg (2004-06) as a reserve guard. He appeared in 34 games in his two seasons, starting five, averaging 2.6 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. He spent his initial college years as a student at Wisconsin-Madison, but did not play basketball there.

A native of Oconto, Wis., Benesh was an all-conference shooting guard during his high school career, earning team MVP honors. He was also an all-conference and all-area centerfielder for Oconto’s baseball squad, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Benesh was an elementary education major at Augsburg.
