Nicole Gilmore (St. Mary-Neb. ‘03) enters her second season on Augsburg’s volleyball coaching staff, her first as an assistant coach. Last year, she served in a volunteer coaching capacity.

Gilmore was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball at the College of St. Mary, an NAIA school in Omaha, Neb. She earned first-team all-conference honors her junior and senior seasons, playing on a St. Mary team that won conference regular-season and tournament titles all four years of her career, while winning regional titles twice, Elite Eight berths in 1999 and 2001 and a Final Four berth in 2002. Teams she played on at St. Mary went 133-19 in her career.

She has served as a youth volleyball coach since 1999, coaching several age groups in the Omaha (Neb.) Premier Volleyball Club from 1999 to 2003, and most recently, as assistant coach for the Kaepa Northern Lights Junior Volleyball Club 17-1 team in Minneapolis. She has also served as a camp instructor for several camps in the area.

Gilmore earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Mary in 2003, and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in kinesiology (sports management) at the University of Minnesota. Gilmore lives in Minneapolis.
