Augsburg College Athletics Staff -- Andy Hannan
Andy Hannan (Nevada-Las Vegas '05) is in his second season on the Augsburg staff in 2006-07. A native of Minneapolis, Hannan played two seasons at UNLV (2003-05), appearing in 47 Runnin' Rebel games. He played his freshman season (2001-02) at Binghamton University (N.Y.), then transferred to Minneapolis Community and Technical College for the 2002-03 season. Hannan, a 6-6 guard/forward, averaged 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in his two seasons at UNLV. He started 20 of 30 games his senior season, averaging 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. He led the Runnin' Rebels in three-point field goal percentage (.447, 21-of-47) his senior year. He averaged 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in his freshman campaign at Binghamton. At MCTC in 2002-03, Hannan earned National Junior College Athletic Association Division III first-team All-America honors, leading the team in scoring (20.5 ppg), rebounding (7.2 rpg) and steals (2.4 spg), while ranking second in assists (4.3 apg) for a team that went 25-3. Hannan played his high school basketball at Holy Angels High School, averaging 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists per game his senior season (2000-01) to earn all-state honors. He was a three-year starter at Holy Angels. Hannan earned his associate's degree from MCTC in 2003 and his bachelor's degree in university studies (emphasis in psychology and physical education) from Nevada-Las Vegas in 2005.
