Josh Hawton (Minnesota '03) is in his first season on the Augsburg staff.

Hawton has been involved in basketball for several years, most recently as a volunteer boys 17-under coach (43 Hoops) in Eden Prairie, Minn. He served as a student manager for the University of Minnesota men's basketball team in the 2004-05 season. He has coached at several basketball camps, including the Dan Monson Gopherball Camps (2000, 2004), Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx Summer Basketball Camps (2004, 2005), Don Meyer Basketball camps (2005), Green Lake Boys Basketball Camp (2005) and Minnesota Developmental Basketball (2000).

He has also worked in sales and marketing as an intern at WCCO-AM 830 (2003), Pro Publishing Inc. (2002) and Minnesota Score Maagazine (2002), in addition to working as a facilities and event management intern in 2003 for the University of Minnesota's Baseline Tennis Center. Hawton received his bachelor's degree in sport studies (sports management emphasis) from the University of Minnesota in 2003. He is currently working towards his master's degree in applied kinesiology (sports management emphasis) from Minnesota.
