Augsburg College Athletics Staff -- Aaron Hazen
Aaron Hazen (Augsburg '07), a three-year veteran in the Augsburg baseball program, enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Auggies in 2009. A native of Burnsville, Minn., Hazen was a designated hitter and first-baseman for the Auggies, starting 34 of 59 career games (2005-07). In his three seasons at Augsburg, Hazen finished with a .285 career batting average (37-of-130) in 59 games (34 starts), wtih 17 runs scored, seven doubles, a home run and 20 RBI. He had a .362 career slugging percentage and .326 career on-base percentage. Hazen had the best year of his career in 2007, earning All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honorable-mention honors while finishing second on the team in hitting with a .387 (24-of-62) average, with nine runs scored, five doubles, one home run, 13 RBI and a .516 slugging percentage.
