Geoff Johnson (Augsburg '06), a four-season starter on defense for the Augsburg men's soccer team, enters his second season on the team's coaching staff in 2007 as a volunteer assistant.

Johnson appeared in 70 games (61 starts) in his collegiate career as a defender, and earned team Most Valuable Player honors his senior season. He had an assist in his freshman season, and scored his first collegiate goal in his senior year in Augsburg's 6-1 win over Concordia-Moorhead (Oct. 11, 2005).

A native of Blaine, Minn., Johnson was an all-conference and all-state defender at Blaine HS, as the Bengals reached the Minnesota state tournament twice during his career. He also earned all-conference honors as a member of the school's nordic skiing and track and field teams. Johnson was a marketing major at Augsburg.
