Ricardo Jones (St. Thomas '99) joins the Augsburg coaching staff for his second season as a running backs position coach in 2004.

Jones was a two-time All-MIAC fullback during his career with the Tommies (1993-96). He moved to play semi-pro football with the Minnesota Maulers (1997-98) and arena football with the Minnesota Monsters (1998), Duluth Lumberjacks (1999), Mankato Purple Rage (2000) and La Crosse Nighttrain (2002).

An all-state honorable mention quarterback/cornerback at DeLaSalle HS in Minneapolis, he returned to his alma mater in 2000 to serve as running backs/linebackers coach on the Islanders state championship team.

From 2000-02, Jones lived in Las Vegas, Nev., working as a personal trainer. He received his bachelor's degree from St. Thomas in 1999, and his Certified Personal Trainer certificate in 2000. Jones currently lives in Edina, Minn.
