Augsburg College Athletics Staff -- Todd Landrum
Todd Landrum (Ohio Northern '73), a successful coach on several levels during his career, enters his first season as an Augsburg assistant coach. Landrum has coached in college and pro basketball for more than 30 years, since starting his coaching career at the University of Delaware as a graduate assistant. He served four years as an assistant at the University of Wisconsin (1976-80), then coached for six years on the staff at the Ohio State University. From 1986-90, Landrum served as head coach at the University of Charleston (W.Va.), as the team made a transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division II. He led the team to a 65-50 record. Landrum moved back to the Midwest in the early 1990s, assisting coach Bo Ryan on the staff at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (1990-94 and 1997-99). He also served as interim athletic director at UW-Platteville in 1991-92. From 1994-97, he was an assistant coach for three teams in the Continental Basketball Association (Pittsburgh Piranhas, Chicago Rockers, La Crosse Bobcats), earning a division title with Pittsburgh in 1995. When Ryan left UW-Platteville for the Division I ranks, Landrum was hired as the Pioneers' head coach. In four seasons as head coach (1999-2003), the Pioneers went 58-45. Currently, Landrum works for the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves, serving as a youth basketball consultant for the team’s basketball camps. He and his wife Brenda have two children, Kevin and Brent.
