Clarence Maeng (Rutgers) will serve in his first season as an Augsburg volleyball assistant coach in 2007. He will coach the Auggies' junior varsity team.

Maeng currently serves, along with Augsburg head coach Jessica Rinehart, as a coach for the Club Tonka junior volleyball program in Minnetonka, Minn. He is an assistant coach with the 18-Black team. He has also served as a coach on the high school level at Brooklyn Center (JV) and Mound-Westonka (ninth grade), in addition to serving as a coach at various camps and clinics.

Maeng received his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University (N.J.), where he played on the men's volleyball club team. He also played in the South Florida Beach Volleyball Series. He received his master's of divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education, and currently serves as a minister and banker.
