Augsburg College Athletics Staff -- Emily Miller
Emily Miller (Augsburg '00) enters her second season on the Augsburg women’s hockey staff in 2005-06. A native of Blaine, Minn., Miller was one of the top defenders in the early seasons of Augsburg’s women’s hockey program, playing from 1996-2000. In 65 career games against varsity opponents, Miller scored 17 goals and had 26 assists for 43 points, including three power-play goals. Her career points total is the 11th-best in school history and second-best among Auggie defenders all-time, while her goals totals rank 12th-best and her assist totals rank ninth-best. As a member of Auggie teams that won the first two Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s hockey titles (1998-99 and 1999-2000), Miller earned All-MIAC first-team honors her junior and senior seasons, and was named an AWCHA Division III All-American her junior year. She was an assistant captain on the Auggie squad that finished second nationally in Division III (AWCHA) her senior season. Miller was also a four-year outfielder on Augsburg’s softball team, earning all-region second-team honors in 1999.
