Lisa Nos (Augsburg '99), who
excelled as an outside hitter for the Auggie volleyball team
for four seasons, will enter her first season as an assistant
coach in 1999, directing the junior varsity team.
Nos, a team
co-captain in 1998, played in 117 matches for the Auggies from
1995-98, compiling career marks of 683 kills (1.716 per game),
87 service aces, 50 blocks (12 solo) and 1,140 digs. Despite
missing six matches in 1997 due to an injury, she was still fourth
on the team in kills with a career-best 242.
A 1995 graduate
of Forest Lake (Minn.) HS, Nos earned her bachelor's degree with
a psychology/religion major from Augsburg in 1999. Nos earned
membership in Omicron Delta Kappa (a National Honor Society for
leadership, scholarship and service) and was commissioner of
the school's Campus Ministry organization. She was also involved
in student government, Pre-Health Club and was an orientation
leader. During the 1998-99 school year, Nos served as director
of Anderson Hall, one of Augsburg's residence halls.
Nos, 22, has
served as a volleyball coach on the Junior Olympic level for
four years, directing the Club Nike team for two years and the
White Bear JOs for two years.
Nos currently
lives in Minneapolis, Minn.
