Jim Peterson (Augsburg '99), a three-time All-American
at Augsburg, begins his third season on the Auggie coaching staff
in 2001-02. Peterson claimed the national championship in 1998,
when he finished 28-7 and cruised through the 167-pound class
at the championships. In 1999, Peterson finished second in the
country at 174, finishing 34-7. His career record of 129-35 puts
him 12th in school history in victories. A native of Eyota, Minn.
(Dover-Eyota HS), and management information systems major at
Augsburg, Peterson was a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American
and earned GTE Academic All-America second-team honors in 1999.
He lives in Minneapolis with his wife Erin and works for
Digital Data Voice corporation.
