Joe Rhode (Wisconsin-La
Crosse '95) enters his second season as an Augsburg assistant
coach, guiding the linebackers. As a linebacker at Wisconsin-La
Crosse, Rhode was a member of Eagle teams that won the NCAA Division
III national title in 1992 and reached the semifinals in 1993.
He also participated in track and field and baseball while at
Wisconsin-La Crosse.
In his first
two seasons, spent at Harper Junior College (Ill.), he was a
member of two league title teams and teams that finished second
(1990) and first (1991) at the NJCAA national championship game.
A native of
Antioch, Ill., Rhode earned his bachelor's degree in Management
Information Systems from Wisconsin-La Crsse, and earned his MBA
in 1998. Rhode, 30, and his wife Amy live in St. Louis
Park, Minn.
