Augsburg College Athletics Staff -- Chad Scheitel
Chad Scheitel (Augsburg '03) joins the Augsburg staff for his second season in 2004. A native of Worthington, Minn., Scheitel played two seasons of football at Augsburg (2001-02) as a defensive back. Scheitel was fourth on the team in tackles his senior year (46) and had one career interception. He ended his career with 53 career tackles (31 solo). Prior to playing at Augsburg, Scheitel played two seasons of football and baseball at Minnesota West Community College (Worthington, Minn.), where he earned Minnesota Community College Conference all-conference honors, along with Academic All-State honors. He ranked third in the NJCAA in interceptions (eight) his sophomore season. He also played in the American Bowl junior college all-star football game. Scheitel earned his bachelor's degree in health promotion science/pre-physical therapy from Augsburg in 2003, and is currently working on his master's degree in kinesiology at the University of Minnesota. He works as a personal trainer at Essentials4Fitness in Minneapolis and as a technical sales representative for MetroCad in Plymouth, Minn. Scheitel lives in Minneapolis, Minn.
