Brad Schwartzbauer (Augsburg '03) is in his first season as an Augsburg assistant coach.

A multi-sport athlete, Schwartzbauer earned junior college All-American honors in baseball at Iowa Central CC, and played four seasons of minor-league baseball in the Colorado Rockies organization before returning to college at Augsburg.

In 94 career games at Augsburg, Schwartzbauer, a forward, scored 37 goals with 40 assists for 77 points, earning All-MIAC honorable-mention honors in 1999-2000 and first-team honors in 2002-03. Schwartzbauer was a health and physical education major at Augsburg.

Recently, Schwartzbauer returned to Augsburg as an employee, being named interim men’s athletic equipment supervisor.
