Lowery Smith (Augsburg '06) enters his second season on the Augsburg staff in 2008, serving as running backs coach. He also spent the 2006 season on the staff as a student assistant coach.

Smith was a four-year letterwinner for the Auggies as an offensive lineman (2002-05). He was a health and physical education major at Augsburg. A native of Farmington, Minn., Smith was an all-conference left guard and two-year varsity letterwinner at Farmington HS.
