Shawn Stibbins (Hamline '99) is in his third season on the Augsburg staff in 2007-08.

Stibbins has spent a decade in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, first as a two-sport athlete at Hamline and then as an assistant coach at his alma mater. He served as an assistant coach with the Piper men's basketball team from 1998 to 2004 -- working with recruiting, teaching, scouting, and strength and conditioning. He served as Hamline's junior varsity head coach for five seasons. He also served as a coach at the University of Northern Iowa's Big Man/Guard Camp in the summer of 2003.

Stibbins played both football and men's basketball at Hamline (1994-98). He graduated from Hamline in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in education (physical education major, elementary education minor) and received his master's degree in education from Hamline in 2004. Since 1999, he has served as an elementary school teacher in the Minneapolis School District, teaching third, fourth and fifth grades.
