Audrey Volstad (St. Olaf '07) will serve in her first season as an Augsburg volleyball assistant coach in 2007.

As a four-year starter at setter at St. Olaf College, Volstad earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors her sophomore, junior and senior seasons, while earning MIAC Player of the Week honors twice in her career. She finished her career with 4,414 assists (11.01 per game), fourth in school history. She also had 460 career kills, 106 career service aces, 972 career digs and 107 career blocks (23 solo).

She averaged more than 11.0 assists per game in each of her final three seasons. In 2006, Volstad ranked sixth among conference players (league games-only) in assists per-game (11.25), with a league-high 540 assists. In 2005, she led the league in both assists per-game (13.00) and total assists (533) in MIAC play, and in 2004, she ranked fourth among league players in both categories (11.80 assists per-game, 484 total assists). Among Division III players nationally, she ranked 44th in assists per-game her senior season (11.05), 21st in 2005 (12.08) and 33rd in 2004 (11.57).

A native of Hanley Falls, Minn., Volstad was a state Triple-A Award (Arts, Athletics, Academics) finalist at Yellow Medicine East HS. She earned four varsity letters in volleyball and three in both basketball and softball. She earned all-conference honors in both volleyball and softball, and was a member of a YME basketball team that reached the state title game her junior season.

She has served as a youth volleyball coach with the Northfield Volleyball Club for the past three years, and has served as a coach at several summer camps. Volstad graduated from St. Olaf with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2007, and will pursue her master's degree in kinesiology at the University of Minnesota this fall.
