Erik Young (Augsburg '05) is in his first season as an Augsburg assistant coach, working with the team’s goalies.

Young played two seasons of hockey at Augsburg, earning All-MIAC honorable-mention honors in 2002-03, after sporting an 8-4-0 record, .913 save percentage and 3.15 goals-against-average while splitting time with Peter Samargia. Last season, as the team’s primary goalie, he had a 6-11-4 record, .892 save percentage and 3.66 GAA.

Young initially played at the University of Minnesota before transferring to Augsburg. A native of White Bear Lake, Minn., Young earned all-conference and team MVP honors with the Bears. Young is a communication major at Augsburg.
