Gabe Ziegler (Black Hills State '03) enters his second season on Augsburg's men's basketball staff in 2004-05. On Jan. 31, he was named interim head coach to complete the 2004-05 season.

Ziegler attended the University of Minnesota from 1998-2001. From 1999-2001, he served as a scout team player, manager and student coach for the Gophers' women's basketball team. He served as an intern for the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves in 1999.

In 2001, Ziegler transferred to Black Hills State University (S.D.), where he played two seasons of basketball. He earned his bachelor's degree in wellness management from Black Hills State in 2003.
