Men's Golf 4/17/08 -- Augsburg at Wisconsin-Stout Border Battle MENOMONIE, Wis. (4/17/08) -- Andrew Womeldorf (SR, Northfield, Minn.) and Lucas Angrimson (FY, Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) each shot 2-over-par 74 to tie for eighth place in the individual field, leading the Augsburg College men's golf team to a third-place finish at the University of Wisconsin-Stout Border Battle single-day tournament, held on Thursday at the Chippewa Valley Golf Club. Josh Henningson (JR, Monticello, Minn.) shot a 3-over-par 75 to tie for 14th, and Kevin Graff (SR, Red Wing, Minn.) shot a 4-over-par 76 to tie for 18th for the Auggies, who finished third with a 299 team total. There were four schools in the competition, each sending an "A" and a "B" squad. Augsburg's main squad shot a 299 team total, its best single-round total of the 2007-08 season. Colby Anderson (JR, Luverne, Minn.) rounded out Augsburg's main squad with an 81 to tie for 34th. For the Augsburg "B" squad, Ryan Treptow (SR, Wells, Minn./United South Central HS) and Greg Paape each shot 77 totals to tie for 22nd, with Jason Henning (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn.) shooting an 82, Joel Kociemba (FY, Andover, Minn./St. Francis HS) shooting an 86 and Alexander Umland (FY, Maple Grove, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) shooting a 95. Sam Ringstad (FY, Prior Lake, Minn.) also competed for the Auggies, shooting an 83 total. Augsburg returns to action on Saturday, April 26, hosting the Augsburg Spring Classic at The Classic at Madden's in Brainerd, Minn.
