It is a feast for fans of college hockey! Eight college hockey teams will play eight games over two days at one site on Thanksgiving weekend. The Division III College Hockey Showcase, sponsored by Sherwood Hockey and hosted by Fogerty Arena in Blaine, is the largest field of college hockey teams to gather at one site during this regular season. Games will be played on Friday, Nov. 25, and Saturday, Nov. 26.

Teams included in this season’s largest college hockey gathering include: Augsburg College, Bethel University, Concordia College-Moorhead, Finlandia University, Hamline University, College of St. Scholastica, University of Wisconsin-Stout and University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Match-ups (and times) on Friday are: Augsburg vs. St. Scholastica (4 p.m./North Rink); Bethel vs. Wisconsin-Stout (4:30 p.m./South Rink); Concordia vs. Wisconsin-Superior (7:30 p.m./North Rink); Hamline vs. Finlandia (8 p.m./South Rink). On Saturday the losing teams of the North Rink games will play at 3 p.m. on the North Rink and the winning teams will play on the North Rink at 6:30 p.m. The South Rink will host its losers bracket game at 3:30 p.m. and its winner’s bracket game at 7 p.m.

“Playing at one site with a quality field of eight teams gives hockey fans in this great hockey market an easy opportunity to come and see the excellent quality of hockey being played at the Division III level,” said Chris Brown, one of the tournament’s organizers.

Ticket prices for the showcase are $20 for a two-day pass and $15 for a daily pass. College students with an I.D. card and high school students are $5 per day. Children 13-and-under are free.
