NORTHFIELD, Minn. (10/28/03) -- Faiz Abdirahman scored a three-goal hat trick for St. Olaf College, as the Oles scored three goals in the second half to claim a 4-2 win over Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer game on Tuesday afternoon at St. Olaf.

Jason Clark (Sr., Eagan, Minn.), in his last collegiate game, scored two goals for Augsburg, both unassisted.

St. Olaf remains in contention for an MIAC postseason playoff berth, improving to 7-8-2 overall and 6-3 in MIAC play, sitting in a fourth-place conference tie with St. Thomas with one conference game remaining for both teams. Augsburg finishes its season at 5-11-2 overall, 0-9-1 in MIAC play, Augsburg's first winless season in league play since 1999.

St. Olaf outshot Augsburg by a 14-7 margin.

Abdirahman scored his first goal on a feed from Brian Lande in the seventh minute, but Clark tied the game for the Auggies in the 17th minute. Abdirahman scored on a penalty kick in the 66th minute, and added his third goal of the game, unassisted, in the 71st minute. Trevor Davies capped the Ole scoring on a score from Chris Gangl in the 76th minute, with Clark scoring the last goal of the Auggies' season, his second, in the 83rd minute.
