Women's Track and Field 4/30/08 -- Augsburg at St. Thomas Tommie Twilight Meet

ST. PAUL, Minn. (4/30/08) -- Megan Krumrie (JR, Elk Mound, Wis.) collected a sixth-place finish in the long jump, leading the Augsburg College women's track and field team in action at the University of St. Thomas Tommie Twilight Meet, held on Wednesday at O'Shaughnessy Field.

Krumrie finished sixth in a distance of 4.96 meters (16-feet, 3.5-inches). She also placed 18th for the Auggies in the 200-meter dash in 27.91 seconds.

Whitney Holman (SO, New Hope, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) placed 15th for the Auggies in the 200-meter dash (27.75 seconds) and had the eighth-best time in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash (13.04 seconds). Jessica Nordness (SR, Burnsville, Minn.) had the 18th-fastest time in the 100-meter preliminaries (13.46 seconds).

Gaby Hamerlinck (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS) placed 11th for the Auggies in the high jump (1.45 meters/4-feet, 9.25-inches), while Holly Blaiser (FY, West St. Paul, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) placed 14th in the long jump (4.65 meters/15-feet, 3.25-inches).

Augsburg's men's and women's squad will compete at the Hamline Meet of the UnSaintly on Sunday (5/4) at 12 p.m.
