Head Coach Lauri Ludeman
Lauri Ludeman enters her third season
as head coach of the Augsburg women's basketball program, and
her eighth season in the coaching ranks.
After a 4-12 season in her inaugural year with the Auggies, Ludeman's
Auggies finished 8-17 last year, a four-game improvement and
the best record for an Augsburg women's basketball team in a
decade. A strong rebuilding year has the Auggies thinking positively
about this season.
Ludeman came to Augsburg after coaching five seasons at Itasca
Community College (Grand Rapids, Minn.) Vikings, where she compiled
a 30-68 record. In 1994, after leading the Vikings to a 15-6
record, she was named Minnesota Community College Coach of the
Year.
Ludeman received her bachelor's and master's degrees at Bemidji
(Minn.) State University in physical education. She was the assistant
women's basketball coach for the Beavers for two seasons during
her education there.
Ludeman also serves Augsburg College as its women's athletic
equipment manager and has administrative duties with AWAC, the
Augsburg Women's Athletics Club. She has also coached for the
past six seasons at the Janet Karvonen Basketball Camp.
