Augsburg College Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

Augsburg College Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

Head Coach Lauri Ludeman

Lauri LudemanLauri Ludeman
enters her third season as head coach of the Augsburg women's basketball program, and her eighth season in the coaching ranks.

After a 4-12 season in her inaugural year with the Auggies, Ludeman's Auggies finished 8-17 last year, a four-game improvement and the best record for an Augsburg women's basketball team in a decade. A strong rebuilding year has the Auggies thinking positively about this season.

Ludeman came to Augsburg after coaching five seasons at Itasca Community College (Grand Rapids, Minn.) Vikings, where she compiled a 30-68 record. In 1994, after leading the Vikings to a 15-6 record, she was named Minnesota Community College Coach of the Year.

Ludeman received her bachelor's and master's degrees at Bemidji (Minn.) State University in physical education. She was the assistant women's basketball coach for the Beavers for two seasons during her education there.

Ludeman also serves Augsburg College as its women's athletic equipment manager and has administrative duties with AWAC, the Augsburg Women's Athletics Club. She has also coached for the past six seasons at the Janet Karvonen Basketball Camp. Ludeman, a native of Toledo, Ohio, lives in Minneapolis, Minn.

Assistant Coach Jenny Loeck

Jenny LoeckJenny Loeck enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Auggies. Loeck, a native of East Grand Forks, Minn., graduated magna cum laude from Bemidji State (Minn.) University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in physical education/health. While at BSU, she earned all-conference honors in both basketball and softball. In addition, she was the basketball team's co-captain and was named Academic All-Region.

Loeck has coached and taught for three seasons, serving a year as head girls' basketball coach at Sacred Heart HS and two seasons as head volleyball coach and assistant softball coach at Roseville HS. During her prep career at East Grand Forks HS, Loeck earned All-State and Academic All-State honors in basketball, while also being named a member of the 1992 All-Tournament Team, when her team made the state tournament. Loeck lives in Shoreview, Minn.
