wrestlers from the second session of Friday's action at the NCAA
Division III Wrestling National Championships at Ohio Northern

Augsburg 125-pounder Darin Bertram tries to
turn over his opponent, Nick Hessler of Augustana, during his
second-round match. Bertram claimed All-America honors with a
technical-fall, 15-0 win.

Defending national champion John Marchette has control of his
opponent, Francisco Bermudez of Millikin, in his second-round
match. Marchette won 10-3 to remain alive in the championship
bracket.

Josh Cagle has control of his opponent, Craig Collins of Loras,
en route to an easy technical-fall, 15-0 win in the second round.
The win was Cagle's school-record 22nd win by technical fall this
season.

Justin Baker attempted to avoid a leg grab by Ithaca's Ryan Ciotoli
in their 157-pound quarterfinal match. Baker lost 4-1, then lost
again in the wrestlebacks in overtime to Luther's Ben Barclay.

Tony Abbott has Wartburg's Justin Hodgrafer's leg in the first
period of their 165-pound consolation wrestleback match. Holdgrafer
got the best of Abbott, 12-3, to eliminate Abbott from the tournament.

Augsburg's Nick Slack makes a move to turn Baldwin-Wallace's Kevin
Atkins in their 174-pound quarterfinal match. Slack won 7-2 to
claim his first All-America honor of his career and remain unbeaten
at 29-0.

Nik Lewandowski works on top of Western Maryland's Charlie Conaway
in Lewandowski's 13-3 championship quarterfinal victory at 184
pounds.

Josh Clausen works on top of Lycoming's Andy Lausier en route
to a 5-3 win in the championship quarterfinals to earn Clausen
Division III All-American honors for the second straight year.

Augsburg's Ben Bauer and Luther's Brett Stender tangle in the
heavyweight championship quarterfinal match. Bauer won an emotional
4-3 decision to claim All-American honors for the first time in
his career.

Augsburg athletic trainer Missy Strauch talks to heavyweight Ben
Bauer after his quarterfinal match. Bauer fell to the mat after
the match was completed, but was OK.
