wrestlers from the first session of Saturday's action at the NCAA
Division III Wrestling National Championships at Ohio Northern

Augsburg 125-pounder Darin Bertram controls
the leg of Delaware Valley's Michael Jones during the national
semifinal match, which Bertram won 10-2.

Defending national champion John Marchette (left) and Buena Vista's
Rick Schwietzberger lock horns in the 133-pound national semifinal
match. Marchette lost 5-3 in sudden-death overtime.

Augsburg's Brian Jones tries to move Florian Ghinea of Montclair
State in the 141-pound national semifinal match. Jones lost 10-6.

Josh Cagle has control of his opponent, Jimmy Wallace of Wilmington,
en route to an easy technical-fall, 16-0 win in the 149-pound
national semifinals. The win was Cagle's school-record 23rd win
by technical fall this season.

Auggie fans enjoy the action at the national
championships. A large number of Auggie fans made the trek to
northwest Ohio to root the Auggies onto a national title!

Augsburg's Nick Slack stares down Buena Vista's Sevond Cole in
the 174-pound national semifinal match. Slack won 9-4 to move
into the national championship match for the first time in his
career.

Nik Lewandowski tries to get his leg out from under Pacific's
Ian Courter in the 184-pound national semifinal match. Lewandowski
lost the match 3-1 in overtime.

Josh Clausen has the advantage on top of Wartburg's Matt Buskohl
in the 197-pound national championship match. Clausen won the
match 8-4 to move into the national final for the first time as
an Auggie.

Augsburg's Ben Bauer has control of SUNY-Oswego's Jason Turner
en route to a dominating 8-4 win in the heavyweight national semifinal
match.
