Augsburg Abroad Program Provider Policies

Augsburg Abroad Program Provider Policies

Recruitment Policy

Program providers with no official relationship to the Augsburg College may not promote their programs on the Augsburg College campus without prior approval from the Augsburg Abroad office. On-campus promotion includes tabling, classroom visits, faculty meetings, placing posters on bulletin boards and handing out printed materials on campus.

Program representatives are encouraged to follow the marketing best practices guidelines on the NAFSA web site.

Study Abroad Fair Policy

Only Augsburg College and affiliated programs are invited to education abroad fairs. Exceptions may be made in cases where there is strong college support of a particular program. Contact Amy Greeley with questions.

Process for Affiliation

The first step is to meet with Director of Augsburg Abroad. Affiliated programs are reviewed annually for quality, student interest, college match, and diversity of location and discipline. Programs that compete with Augsburg college’s own programs through the Center for Global Education, International Partners, and HECUA will be at a disadvantage in the review process.
