Assistant Professor R. Brooks Gekler has joined our full-time faculty teaching the Field Study (Management Consulting Program) in our MBA program. Brooks earned his MBA from New York University–Stern School of Business in Marketing and International Business, including participation in the International Management Program at London Business School. He received a BA in English literature and history from Vassar College.

Brooks joined Augsburg following 21 years of leadership experience with General Mills, Inc., in marketing, management, and mergers and acquisitions. Recent leadership roles included general manager and chief integration officer for Croissant King Plc. in Sydney, Australia; president and general manager of Lloyds Barbeque Company; general manager of Small Planet Foods; and senior vice president in marketing for General Mills Canada, Inc. Previous teaching experience included volunteer work with Metropolitan Education Development Association (MEDA) as an instructor in the Minority Small Business Owners Program teaching classes in business planning, marketing, and sales.
