Honor Athlete Lauren Chezick is successful in the classroom and on the ice

Lauren Chezick has rewritten the record book for women’s hockey at Augsburg College. In her four-year career, Chezick set new school records for career points (137) and assists (82), while standing second in school history in career goals (68) in 102 career games. She also set single-season school records for points (57) and assists (32) in the 2002-03 campaign as part of the top scoring forward line in school history.

A three-year captain on teams that qualified for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs each of her final three seasons, Chezick became just the sixth women's hockey player in conference history to earn first-team All-MIAC honors all four years of her career. Chezick earned MIAC Player of the Year and American Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-American honors in 2002-03.

Chezick was also a success in the classroom at Augsburg. A pre-law/communications major and one of Augsburg’s Honor Athletes in 2005, Chezick earned Dean's List honors five semesters, Academic All-MIAC honors three times and the Augsburg women's athletics Joyce Pfaff Academic Award three times. She earned American Women's Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Scholar-Athlete recognition and CoSIDA Academic All-District honors twice each.
