What is TRANSFER-mation?
TRANSFER-mation is a required half-day orientation experience for transfer students designed to help with the transition to Augsburg College. Students will learn about college resources and services, hear about academic programs, and discover why being a part of the Augsburg community is so rewarding.
Is TRANSFER-mation required?
Yes. TRANSFER-mation is required for all transfer students who are starting at Augsburg in spring 2012.

When and where is check-in for TRANSFER-mation?
Check-in will take place in the Christensen Center lobby from 12:45-1:15 p.m. There will also be a mini-Information fair taking place in the Christensen Center lobby from 12:45-1:15 p.m. for transfer students to browse. TRANSFER-mation will finish no later than 4:45 p.m.
What should transfer students do if they have attended an orientation program at their previous institution?
Many colleges and universities have amazing orientation programs that help you become familiar with their specific institution. However, each institution is different. TRANSFER-mation is a succinct orientation program that will offer incoming transfer students the “nuts and bolts” of Augsburg College, but will not focus on broad transition issues that they have covered in previous orientation programs. TRANSFER-mation does, however, give incoming transfer students a good breadth of information to help address concerns and answer questions students may have about transitioning to Augsburg College.
Should transfer students commuting to campus attend TRANSFER-mation?
Yes. TRANSFER-mation is designed for all transfer students, regardless of their resident or commuter status.
When do transfer students who will be living on campus in the fall move into their residence hall?

Can parents and guardians attend TRANSFER-mation?
No. TRANSFER-mation is specifically designed for transfer students. However, parents and guardians are welcome to stay and explore the Augsburg campus and surrounding community or leave while their students participate in the TRANSFER-mation program.
Where is parking available during TRANSFER-mation?
Parking is available in any designated Augsburg College parking lot free of charge during the hours of TRANSFER-mation. A map of parking lots on campus can be found here.
