West Bank College Bound (3:30-5:30pm) *
… a collaborative mentoring effort that brings together first generation Augsburg students and high school students from Cedar Riverside to form mentor relationships in which students develop their confidence and leadership capacity, learn about college and find support to succeed in high school.
Wednesday Night Supper (6-7pm)
… a community meal, hosted by Trinity Lutheran Congregation, which is open and free to all as an opportunity to share food and build relationships.
West Bank Open Mic (7-9:30pm)
(1st and 3rd Thursdays)
… bi-weekly, community building, artistic expression and political education space where community members share poetry, songs, spoken word and where we dialogue about social issues, local movements and connect young people with local justice work.
Interfaith @ Cedar Commons (6:30-8:30pm)
(2nd Thursdays: Topic, 4th Thursdays: Training)
… bi-weekly gathering to build relationships across faith traditions and to explore questions of faith and spirituality. Fourth Thursdays are a meal, Second Thursdays are other creative ways to engage!
Open Speaker AA Meeting (7:30-9pm)
… open to alcoholics and nonalcoholics alike, each meeting features three AA members who share their experience, strength and hope.
