CLASS Program - Some rules for the CLASS office
- When you arrive for your appointment, greet the receptionist, tell her your name (if she doesn’t recognize you) and say that you are here to meet with your specialist.
- Wait for the receptionist to announce you to your specialist. You can sit in an available seat, or remain standing, but move out of the direct entrance to the office.
- Your Specialist may not be available immediately. Wait patiently until he or she comes out to get you.
- If the receptionist is not at the desk when you enter, ring the bell that is on the desk and wait for someone to assist you. If no one comes out by the time your meeting is supposed to start, you may go up to your Specialist’s office and knock on the door to let them know you are here. You might still have to wait until they finish what they are doing.
- If the door to the CLASS office is closed when you come for your meeting, enter through room 17A (the Groves Lab) and come around to the reception area. Then follow the directions from #4 above. If the door between the Lab and the Office is closed, this means that the CLASS office is closed for business.
- The CLASS office closes for chapel (Mon-Wed-Fri from 10:20-10:40; Tue-Thu from 11:20-11:40).
- If you know that you are going to be late to or absent from your appointment, please call the receptionist at 612-330-1053.
- If you arrive more than ten minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you may have to reschedule for another time.
- If you need an additional appointment between your regularly scheduled appointments, you can contact the receptionist to do that, either in person or on the phone 612-330-1053. You can also contact your Specialist directly, but you will probably get faster service by calling the main desk.
- Email is not an effective way to schedule appointments with CLASS. Please call or do so in person.
- When in the CLASS office or Groves Lab, try not to raise the volume of your voice. People may be testing in the rooms nearby and will need quiet to concentrate.
