Research interests:
Population ecology and management of large mammals and their habitats.
Current research includes:
- A systematic evaluation of techniques used to monitor large carnivores in the Lake Superior watershed region, and
- Modeling of future impacts of climate change on mammal populations in Northeastern Minnesota
Previous fieldwork included projects on the ecology of chimpanzees in Uganda and recovery of tiger populations in China.
